Capstone Project
Our capstone project is to try to find a more efficient way to transform heat energy into electrical energy, thereby improving the overall efficiency of electric generators.
1/29/21 Currently, we are researching models of water flow and how to increase it. We are designing a series of Iris Valves and pumps to increase the pressure of the water in the pipe. Also, because our design focuses more on water flow than heat, we are free to use 3D printed PLA or PetG in our prototypes without fear that the heat of the water will warp the printed parts.
3/5/21 We have been hard at work printing the parts we've been working on and assembling our first working prototype. I have been printing the parts on my 3D printer as well as changing the size of our 3D models to work when printed instead of being their mathematically perfect version we have now.
